Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 6:00pm.
What is your children-to-teacher ratio?
Our children-to-teacher ratio is 4:1 for infants to older toddler (6 weeks to 2 ½ years). The ratio for preschool classrooms (range from 2 ½ years to 5 years) is 8:1.
How many staff members are CPR and first aid certified?
All of our staff are offered CPR and first aid yearly.
Do you accept DHHS, OYC or other grant payments?
Yes but co-pays apply.
Do you welcome parent involvement? Can I stop by unannounced?
YES! We are always look forward to parent involvement.
What types of activities do you offer for infants and toddlers?
We provide age appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors, to stimulate the minds of infants and toddlers and to promote motor and social skill development. We use paints, play dough, glue, chalk, books, and sensory tables with rice, water, snow, dirt, noodles and more. Our infants and toddlers stay very busy throughout the day.
What will my child be learning in your preschool?
We introduce age appropriate activities in math, art, reading, beginning writing skills, music, and science. Cooking and other fun activities are all theme based.
How often do you clean the rooms and toys?
All of our rooms have cleaning schedules for different areas of the classroom throughout the week. If a teacher sees a child cough, sneeze or put a toy in their mouth – the toy goes directly into the sink in the classroom to be cleaned and sanitized. The infant room is sanitized twice a day and the changing tables and bathrooms are disinfected after each diaper change / use.
What is your policy regarding sick children?
It order to keep our children, their families and our staff as healthy as possible, we require that any child with a fever over 100F, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious disease be kept at home for 24 hours after their last symptom.
How do you communicate with parents?
The parents of infants and toddlers receive a daily journal that documents feedings, naps, diaper/potty times and other important notes. Our preschool and pre-K room have weekly reports updating parents on activities for that week. We provide a newsletter every two months to share news, event information, and other notes with our parent community. Aside from the newsletter we also have a parent bulletin board, and leave notices in the children’s cubbies.
What if someone other than my spouse/partner or me has to pick up my child?
In order to protect your child, we require that you provide the names of any individuals who have permission to pick up your child. We require advance notice from you when someone other than who is listed on your emergency contact card will be picking up your child and we will check identification. If we have any questions or concerns, we ask that you are available via cell phone to provide confirmation.
What security measures are in place to protect my child?
Your child’s safety are of the utmost concern to us. We have a fenced in playground, keep exterior doors locked at all times, and all visitors must enter by the office. As mentioned above only people authorized in advance by you are allowed to pick up your child.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
YES! In fact, we maintain a commercial kitchen and a cook so that we can prepare and serve nutritious, home-cooked meals and snacks for children who are able to eat solid food. Our weekly menus are posted just outside the office and sent home to parents monthly.
